At GTZ Garages, we specialize in vintage Enduro motorcycles but appreciate all kinds. This Honda Z50R started out its life in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. From there, it was found in a barn, covered in dust and 90’s motocross stickers.

The bike was all original and nearly untouched since it came off the showroom floor. A cleaned carburetor and fresh gasoline brought this mini bike back to pulling wheelies and banging gears. We completed a brief cosmetic restoration to revive this barn-raised 4 stroke. The original bill of sale and title came with the bike as well, which was a major plus. A 3-speed automatic matted up to this iconic 50cc engine. The tires were rusted to the wheels, and we repainted the rims with brand new tires. We wanted to maintain the originality of the bike while making the bike ride worthy.

Differing from other Honda Z50’s, the 1997 Honda Z50R was finished in Shasta White, the gas tank sticker is red, white, and black, with the number plate also being white. Riding this bike just puts a smile on your face whether you’re 10 or 50 years old. The front forks and dual rear shocks provide great travel and comfort, at any speed.
